Kostas N. Tarchanidis received his first degree in Electrical Engineering from Democritus University of Thrace. He received his Ph.D. in robotics from the University of Liverpol, Dept. of Electrical Engineering and Electronics. He is presently Full Professor at Eastern Macedonia and Thrace Institute of Technology, Dept. of Petroleum & Natural Gas Technology and Mechanical Engineering, Kavala, Greece. He is Deputy President of the Institute’s University Council.

His is member of the Technical Chamber of Greece, I.E.E.E. and SPE. He is also the supervisor of the project called “Robotic Lifeguard For Emergency Rescue”.
